Wine in Korea

In Korea, your wine choices are generally lackluster and outrageously expensive. The worst of both worlds (with some exceptions!)

Korea’s protectionist economy means you pay dearly for the imports (except, it would seem, my own labor). And imported wine is certainly among those items with the biggest markup. So, this post marks the first effort in what I hope will become a useful resource for those expats living in Koreas seeking those quaffable exceptions to the rule. I can’t promise much, but if nothing else, I can steer you away from the many duds I’m uncovering, and thereby spare you the pain of such displeasure for yourself.

Each bottle will receive its own separate posting.  Comments, as always, are most welcome — particularly if you can recommend anything worth drinking.
